Tibet and the problem of consistency

Well, the man who cut Canada’s aid to the Palestinians when Hamas won an election, on the grounds Hamas targeted civilians, is a bit more circumspect in regards to China doing the same in Tibet. It’s a tricky situation, granted, but it does illustrate the hollowness of Harper’s so-called “moral” rhetoric. There is nothing wrong with taking a strong stand as long as you are consistent across the board.
